Media Release - September 7, 2011 - NOACC, SHIFT & TB Chamber partner for NOVA awards

On July 27, NOACC president Andy Scribilo and Harold Wilson met with Jason Nesbitt, President of the Aguasabon Chamber of Commerce and other business representatives in Terrace Bay. In addition to getting updated on the Chamber’s activities and expectations of their active NOACC membership, Andy and Harold also took the opportunity for a tour of the revitalized downtown in Terrace Bay. Supported by the Aguasabon Chamber, the new lighthouse is an impressive focal point, and should wow the attendees at this year’s drag racing event over the long weekend.

Dean Main, Community Development Supervisor also took Andy and Harold through the new cultural centre. Terrace Bay demonstrates why they were deserving as the "Entrepreneurial Community of the Year" by the Northern Ontario Business Awards for 2010/2011.

They also stopped in Schreiber for an all too brief tour of the railroad museum. Catching up with Dominic Filane at his Hollywood Filane Sportswear establishment was another highlight.

We are looking forward to getting out to more of our Chamber members’ communities this fall.
